Refer Laurin MS Student for Holiday Giving Tree

It's that time of year for the Laurin Middle School Thanksgiving Meal box and Holiday Giving Tree to support Laurin students that need assistance during this holiday season due to hardship. This is your opportunity to refer a Laurin student.

Thanksgiving Meal Box - Limited to the first 20 Laurin Middle School families (Pick up on Monday, November 23rd after 12 noon)

Holiday Giving Tree - Supports Laurin Middle School students only. We ask for a item that the child wishes for and an item the child needs. These are tags that are added to the Giving Tree. The community pick tags from the tree to purchase a gift. The gifts are purchased, wrapped and return to the Laurin office with the tag. Gifts for these families will be picked up during the last week of school before the winter break.  We will accept referral up until November 20, 2026.

Please use the links below to refer a Laurin Middle School Student:

Share your thoughts on school meals

Battle Ground Public Schools and Chartwells, our nutrition services provider, are working to improve the meals that are served to students at school. As part of this process, we invite you to take the School Meals Report Card survey. This short survey gives students, parents, families and staff the chance to share feedback on school meals. It is completely anonymous, with no identifying information collected. The survey is open Oct. 12 through Nov. 6.

Take the survey now.

Let’s work together to make school meals even better!

Refer a student to the Aspire Highly Capable Program

Support for students, families

Did you know that Battle Ground Public Schools students and families can get support with things like clothing, hygiene items, food and other resources? If your family needs assistance, here are a few steps that you can take:

Apply for free or reduced-price meals and fill out a consent to share form to waive or reduce fees.

Ask your child’s school about receiving a weekly food bag through Share Vancouver.

Make an appointment to visit the Clothes Closet, which offers clothing and shoes as well as hygiene and household items, some cleaning supplies and school supplies. The closet is open to any student currently enrolled in a BGPS school and their family.

Contact the Family and Community Resource Center to learn about things like community resources and support for students and families who are unhoused. The FCRC relies in part on donations and volunteers.

Contact a parent-outreach liaison for interpretation and/or translation services.

We are here for our students and families and want each person to feel supported. Please let us know how we can help.
