Bus routes posted and FirstView mobile app

Bus routes are now available online. For questions about school district bus service, call your school or First Student at 360-841-7099, ext. 103 or 104. Please be aware that the first several weeks of school can often see changes to routes as First Student makes adjustments. Any changes impacting riders will be communicated by your child’s school.

Due to road construction in many areas of the district, some buses may need to take a detour and/or may be delayed. For the most up-to-date route information, late alerts, notifications when your student is close to home, etc., we strongly recommend installing the FirstView mobile app, available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. PLEASE NOTE: The district code has changed this year. To use the app, enter the four-digit code LMWV. Get instructions for installing the app.

New school menus

Starting this year, Battle Ground Public Schools is partnering with Chartwells to provide breakfast and lunch at school. Menus are still available via Nutrislice and meal expenses can still be paid through InTouch Receipting, just like last year. Printable menus are also available through September (Primary Schools) (Middle Schools) (High Schools) Get more details on the district website.

Health and safety:

  •  Please keep your child home if they have symptoms of illness. See our health and attendance brochure.

Confirm that your child meets Washington state immunization requirements or has an approved exemption by the first day of school. Learn more about vaccination requirements for public schools in Washington state.

Have you completed the annual student update?

All families are required to complete the annual student update every year before school begins (Wednesday, Aug. 30). To complete the student update, please log in to Skyward (Family Access) and click “2024-25 annual student update” (do not select new student online enrollment) on the navigation bar in the left column of the webpage. Get instructions with screenshots. If you do not remember your password, click “Forgot your Login/Password” on the login page to have it sent to your email address that is on file with the district. If you do not have a login, please call your school office. The student update provides an opportunity to fill out required forms online and ensures the district has correct contact information for families.

If you would like to receive text messages, be sure to enter your cell number when you complete the update. You will see three fields for phone numbers. In the second phone field, choose "cell" from the dropdown menu, and enter your cellphone number.

Flag Pole Pick-Up

For student safety we are tightening up our student pick-up area. Students being picked up at the car line will stand with siblings inside the painted box. Parents will pull up to the pickup area, we will load four cars at a time, then sent the loaded cars off. A flagger will wave the next four cars to move up to load. If your student is not at the pickup area you will be asked to move forward to the waiting area or re-enter the line at the back. This will speed up the pick-up process.

If you are getting out of your car to pick your student(s)up. Your student(s) will be waiting in a designated spot next to the flagpole pick-up area. Students must be released to parent by a staff member.

We are asking that all parents and students use the crosswalk in front of the school to retrieve their students and avoid walking or parking behind the busses.

We know these changes may not be popular, but are necessary for student and family safety. Thank you for help with keeping everyone safe!
