We work hard to teach students the behavior expectations in each of our learning environments. Please find the survey that applies to you and let us know how we are doing.
RHL has curated a list of experiences in the community that families can choose to engage in. Teachers may be out and about at various locations. Families are encouraged to go engage in the Community learning outside of school and come to the next class to let your teacher know what you did. It doesn't have to be from the suggested list.
Link for School Supplies Need assistance with supplies? Free backpacks and basic school supplies are available for any student upon request. There are no income requirements. Come ask in the office.
For 2025-26 school year, free meals are available to families of all primary schools including River HomeLink.
River HomeLink students will receive free breakfast and lunch this school year. Please fill out a Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit Application again for the 25-26 school year, so RHL can continue to receive free meals for the following 4 years. RHL Cafeteria Expectations
For Students & Parents/Families
2025–2026
At RHL, we want every student’s lunchtime to be a safe, positive, and enjoyable part of the school day. To help make that happen, we have a few simple expectations in place so that our cafeteria stays clean, calm, and welcoming for everyone.
During Breakfast & Lunch:
Please stay seated for at least 10 minutes so everyone has time to enjoy their meal.
Kindergarten students should stay with their parents or adult supervisor throughout lunch.
Students in Grades 1–4 may head out to recess after 10 minutes, but only after notifying a parent or adult supervisor.
A few friendly reminders:
Stay seated while eating your lunch.
Please walk—no running in the cafeteria. (Running can lead to slips, spills, or bumps!)
Use indoor voices so everyone can enjoy a calm environment.
When you're finished eating, remember to:
Clean up your area—return your tray and throw away trash.
Use the soapy water spray bottles and towels provided to wipe down your table.
As lunch winds down:
With multiple groups using the cafeteria each day, it’s important that we all help with a smooth transition. Around the 5-minute mark before the end of lunch, students and supervisors should begin getting ready to leave and help with final clean-up.
Thanks for helping us keep the RHL cafeteria a safe and happy place for all!
RHL Cell Phone Policy
The board of directors has directed each school to adopt and implement the revised telecommunication devices policy (3245). River HomeLink is adopting the following for our school.
What students can do
Bring cellphones and other personal electronic devices to school, but they must be silenced and remain out of sight (e.g., in a backpack) during class time, unless the student has been given permission by a teacher or school administrator.
Use cellphones and other personal electronic devices on school grounds before the beginning of the school day and after, during passing times and lunch and during emergency situations.
What students can't do
Use cellphones and other personal electronic devices during class time, unless given permission by a teacher or school administrator for instructional or educational purposes and usage is monitored.
Send, share, view or possess content that violates district policies.
Take photos of or record other students without their explicit permission.
Discipline
Students who violate the cellphone policy will be subject to progressive disciplinary action up to and including confiscation of their phone/device and/or losing the privilege of bringing it onto school property. If a school chooses to confiscate the phone, they are required to ensure the security of the device. A school may require a parent/guardian to pick the phone up at the end of the school day.
Initial offense: Student is warned and reminded of the rules.
Repeat offenses:
The student’s mobile device will be confiscated and returned to the student at the end of the day.
Parents or guardians will be notified.
A meeting may be held with the student and their parent/guardian to discuss a success plan if excessive offenses continue.
The district may administer appropriate interventions and student discipline.
There are a lot of events going on... Please be patient when finding a parking space!
Parking at Maple Grove, River HomeLink and Battle Ground Virtual Academy
Please remember to park only in designated spots in our parking lot. The bus lane is not a designated parking area, and accessible parking spots are reserved for people with a valid disabled parking permit. It’s important to note that the Battle Ground Police Department can issue a citation for vehicles that are improperly parked in accessible spots without permits.
We continue to evaluate our options for a long-term solution to parking. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Парковка в Maple Grove, River HomeLink и Battle Ground Virtual Academy
