Due to teacher training, there is no school for most BGPS students on Wednesday. Please visit the district website for additional calendar information.

Know the facts about the replacement levy

We're counting down the top 10 facts about the upcoming replacement education and operations levy.

Fact #3: The levy would provide funding for programs and services that affect students in every BGPS school.

Visit our website to learn more about the replacement levy, create a personalized cost estimate for your property and view a video presentation. Ballots have been mailed to everyone who is registered to vote. Remember to return your ballot by Feb. 11. If you are eligible to vote but are not yet registered, you can still do so in person at the Clark County elections office until 8 p.m. on election night.

February school meal menus

February school breakfast and lunch menus are now available! Meals can be paid for through InTouch Receipting.

Discovery Kitchen Cookoff logo

Does your fourth grader like to cook?

Sign them up for the Discovery Kitchen Cook-off, happening March 20 at Battle Ground High School! Students interested in participating must submit a recipe by Friday, Feb. 21. A total of 10 students will be selected by a panel of judges to take part in the competition. Download an entry form from the district website.

Eighth and ninth graders invited to take PSAT

Students in grades 8 and 9 are invited to take the new PSAT 8/9 on April 26. This optional test is designed to help these students start their high school journey. Registration ends Friday, April 18. Visit the district’s standardized testing page to learn more.

Survey results on cellphone use, start times and school libraries

Last fall, Battle Ground Public Schools conducted a ThoughtExchange to gather ideas about student use of cellphones during school, school start times, school libraries and more. Visit the district website to view the full survey results and read the key findings.

10th annual Industry Fair is Feb. 20

Join us at the Industry Fair and meet with dozens of local employers. Learn about career pathways in industries including construction, healthcare, finance, retail, hospitality and much more. This event is free and open to the public.

Care Solace: Your link to mental health support

Battle Ground Public Schools works with Care Solace to support the well-being of students and their immediate family members. Care Solace is a complimentary and confidential care coordination service that can help any student and/or their immediate family members quickly find mental health or substance use treatment options matched to their needs, regardless of insurance or circumstance. CAM Academy new family night

Do you know someone who is interested in attending CAM Academy, an academically rigorous school for students in grades 3-12? Families interested in learning about the school can attend a new family information meeting on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. in the school’s commons. Everyone is welcome. New student enrollment begins at the end of January.

January is School Board Appreciation Month and we are proud to announce that for the fifth time in seven years, Battle Ground Public Schools board of directors has received Washington state’s Board of Distinction designation from the Washington State School Directors Association. We appreciate the time and efforts of everyone who serves on the board!

Winter sports are taking place throughout the region, and Battle Ground Public Schools is fortunate to feature live broadcasts of many games. Check out the broadcast schedule on the district website.

Report, don’t repost

If you see or hear of a possible threat, please report it to law enforcement directly and/or to school staff. This is the best and most helpful action because it begins an investigation and helps to limit the potential for misinformation to spread. You can report bullying, intimidation, harassment, threats and safety concerns using our anonymous reporting system. Emergencies should always be reported to 911.
